Cooper Lighting opened The SOURCE in Peachtree City, GA in 2001. The SOURCE is a learning facility that caters to lighting professionals who usually work in the fields of architecture, retailing, interior design, engineering, and a lot more. It is also open to university students, distributors, facility managers, builders, and even end-users.
The SOURCE of Cooper Lighting holds seminars and workshops throughout the year. A given course would usually last for two to three days with a registration fee of $350-$500. The seminars and workshops of the SOURCE also help professionals in obtaining credits or units for continuing education programs. These programs are required by various professional organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, American Lighting Association, American Society of Landscape Architects, Florida Board of Professional Engineers, Association of Energy Engineers, Interior Design Continuing Education Council, and the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions.
For this month, the SOURCE of Cooper Lighting will hold two seminars in its headquarters at 1121 Highway 74 South, Peachtree City, GA. On March 12-14, a seminar will be held on Fundamentals & Lighting Basics which is for distributors and contractors. This workshop will focus on photometry, light and color, optical control, lighting costs, lamps and ballasts, luminaires, lighting terms, and other basic lighting concepts. Another workshop is scheduled on March 26-27 which would center on Advanced IRiS Solutions. The focus will be on the IRiS Lighting System, a brand of Cooper Lighting that services residential areas.
