Park Avenue Gymnastics
Park Avenue Gymnastics is a gymnastics facility in Cooper City that offers classes for children one year old and above. For one- to three-year-old kids, there are Mom and Tot classes which is a great way for mothers to bond with their children. The Mom and Tot classes are very structured and enable toddlers to learn discipline and follow rules.
There are separate classes for different age groups as well as for students with varying mastery levels. Park Avenue Gymnastics has developed a multi-colored star system to mark the child’s progress. The child will move through the star system as he or she shows significant advancement in the various gymnastics skills and routines.
Students will be evaluated throughout the nine-week session. On the eighth week, they will receive a certification on the highest color star they have completed. They must pass the stars for their specific class before advancing to another higher class.
For pre-school and boys recreational classes, beginners start on red and orange stars; intermediate classes will have yellow, green, and blue stars; and advanced students will work on purple and gold stars. For girls recreational classes, beginners will work on the red star; intermediate 1 classes on orange and yellow stars; intermediate 2 classes on green and blue stars; and advanced classes on purple and gold stars.
