Cooper City Mayor

 

The Cooper City Mayor, together with the City Commissioners, serves as the governing body of the city. He sets the rules and policies, establishes the goals and main issues, and sets the local tax rates.

 

The Mayor is elected for a three-year term and may serve in office for a maximum of three terms. The current mayor of Cooper City is Debby Eisinger. She was previously elected as a City Commissioner in 2002-2005 before handling the mayoralty seat.

 

In 2007, Cooper City Mayor Eisinger was named the Government Official of the Year by the American Business Women’s Association and also received the American Jewish Congress Civic Leader of the Year Award. Eisinger was also recognized by Davie and Cooper City residents as the Best City Official for the Davie/Cooper City Gazzette.
