Cooper City Optimists

The Cooper City Optimists have undoubtedly been a significant organization in the Cooper City community. The club has always been active in organizing sports events and fitness activities for the youth. It is also successful in engaging the participation of parents and community leaders in its sports programs.

The Cooper City Optimists have been the prime movers in giving Cooper City kids the opportunity to play in such sports as soccer, baseball, flag and tackle football, softball, basketball, roller hockey, and cheerleading. The organization regularly recruits Cooper City residents to become volunteers in these activities. Some of the positions filled by volunteers are head coaches, assistant coaches, commissioners, and event organizers.

Games organized by the Cooper City Optimists are often played at the Bill Lips Sports Complex, the Cooper City Sports Complex, and the open spaces behind Pioneer Middle School.
