Light Up Cooper City
Spending the holidays in a laid-back bedroom community such as Cooper City, Florida is an entirely different experience. There are no big crowds, no holiday rush at dizzying levels, no shopping overboard at giant malls and upscale retail stores. One gets the chance to enjoy the simple celebrations and savor the holidays on a more relaxed pace.
One of the local projects in Cooper City to celebrate the holidays is Light Up Cooper City. The Memorial Park is adorned with lights, making the trees, gazebo, and walkways come alive in holiday cheer. The event is an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the Christmas season.
Light Up Cooper City was held in December 7 last year from 6pm to 9pm. In this event, children got the chance to sit on Santa’s lap and whisper their Christmas wishes. Other activities include face painting, crafts bazaar, holiday games, and entertaining performances. It was also a time to help the less fortunate as everyone was requested to bring one canned food item which will be donated to those who are in need.
