Something Special in Cooper City

Cooper City is a quaint bedroom community in Broward County, Florida. With a population of a little more than 30,000, this small city strives to live up to its nickname Something Special by maintaining the homey atmosphere of a traditional, idyllic small town.

 

Cooper City offers a lot of recreational facilities that enables its residents to enjoy the great outdoors of suburban Florida. There are more than 20 spacious parks that have playgrounds, picnic areas, multipurpose rooms, and sports facilities. The city government as well as local organizations also facilitates various wholesome and family-oriented activities.

 

The climate in Cooper City is usually tropical, as is typical of the whole South Florida. Temperatures usually don’t fall below 64.4 degrees Fahrenheit and the weather is generally balmy all day although a thunderstorm may occur in the afternoon. Cooper City has a slightly lower average of tornado hits compared with the South Florida average but is still prone to hurricane activity.

 

Because of its proximity to major urban centers such as Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Cooper City has become a popular residential area. It was also chosen by one magazine as one of the ten best towns for families.
