Cooper City Elementary School

Cooper City Elementary School is one of the public schools serving Broward County. It currently has 1015 students, from kindergarten to fifth-grade, and employs 59 teachers. The school got an A-rating from the Florida Department of Education in the past two years. In 2004-2005, Cooper City Elementary received a B.

 

Cooper City Elementary School spends $5,912 for each student, lower than the Florida average of $6,072. A majority of the student population are Whites, making up for 67 percent of the total. About 21 percent are Hispanics, six percent are Asians, three percent are Blacks, and the rest come from American Indian and multiracial backgrounds.

 

Seventeen percent of students in Cooper City Elementary School are eligible for free or reduced-price lunches. The federal-assisted subsidized meal program is allotted for school kids who come from low-income families. The state average for students included in the subsidized lunch program is 45 percent.
